These Monday morning classes at Hartman Reserve will blend mindful movement, mobility work, and self-myofascial release (SMR) to help your body prepare and recover from your outdoor summer activities. Join us for a feel-good afternoon of yoga and self-myofascial release (SMR)—a practice that’s basically like giving yourself a deep tissue massage. Using specialized therapy balls, we’ll roll out tension, improve mobility, and leave you feeling more connected and at ease in your body.
Her love for SMR actually began the Christmas before she started teaching here, when her now mother-in-law spotted a pair of “yoga” massage balls at TJ Maxx and gifted them to her. That spark turned into a decade-long passion for self-care and teaching others how to feel better in their bodies.
SMR targets fascia, the connective tissue around your muscles that can get tight from stress, posture, or just life. This helps improve circulation, reduce soreness, and restore natural movement—making it a perfect complement to yoga or any active lifestyle.
Expect a playful, hands-on session where you’ll learn practical techniques you can use anytime. No prior yoga or SMR experience needed—just come curious and ready to unwind.
