Who am I?

I like to move, breathe, feel good, and help others do the same. I have grown increasingly passionate about understanding seasonal changes and how they affect the body and mind through ayurveda, and love educating and inspiring people to practice the art of presence and listening. Julia is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher and functional breathing instructor.  She first fell in love with an ambitious asana practice in her late teens and found a love for the philosophy and metaphysics of yoga and meditation in early adulthood.  Armed with a healthy dose of compassion, a smile, and teaching experience with bodies of every age and ability, she is able to meet you where you’re at and help you further your practice and understanding of yoga.  Julia currently teaches hatha & vinyasa yoga, chair yoga, hot yoga, adaptive yoga, yoga for collegiate athletes, yin yoga, yoga nidra, and meditation.

You can find her weekly and for special events at New Dawn Yoga and Hartman Reserve Nature Center.
Julia also teaches special events like hiking + yoga, yoga nidra, and silent listening retreats at Three Pines Farm and the Frank Lloyd Wright Cedar Rock House in Quasqueton, IA.
